Finding the right players for your playtest is crucial for getting relevant feedback. Let's walk through how to set up your target audience in Lysto to reach the perfect players for your game.
Player Recruitment Method
When you reach the Playtester section while creating a playtest request, you'll be required to choose from the two recruitment methods:
- Lysto Panel: choose from over 1 million+ registered users, verified for game experience before every playtest.
- Bring Your Own Players (BYOP): invite players from your existing gaming communities (Discord, in-game communities, Subreddits etc.)
Setting Up Your Player Demographics
Next, you'll see various options to define your ideal player profile:
- Start by entering the number of playtesters you need (minimum 2 players)
- Set your player's Age Range using the slider given
- Select the Region(s) where you playtesters should be geographically located
- Adjust the Gender Ratio slider to the required gender distribution
- Select your Player Category: Gamer, or Non Gamer
- Specify the game genres the players regularly play or are familiar with
Important Note: When adjusting the gender slider, pay careful attention to its direction. Moving left increases male percentage, while moving right increases female percentage. The graphic below the slider shows you real-time distribution of your selection.
Player Experience Levels
Define your ideal player profile based on average gaming hours per week:
Casual (<10 Hrs Weekly)
Midcore (10-20 Hrs Weekly)
Hardcore (>20 Hrs Weekly)
Feedback Language
Select the language in which playtesters must provide their feedback. You can choose from English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, or Japanese.
Pro Tip: Have specific targeting needs? Use the additional requirements text box to specify any special criteria not covered by our standard options.
