Lysto's BYOP Feature

Lysto's Bring Your Own Players feature unlocks all our platforms' great features for usage with your own players. This guide will walk you through the process of adding players and ordering a BYOP Playtest on the platform.

Step 1: Adding Players to your panel To add players to your panel:

  1. Click on "Players" in the top navigation menu

  2. This will open the Players Panel, where you can view your current player list

  3. Click the purple "+ Add Player" button to start adding players

You'll have two options for adding players:

Option 1: Invite Players via Link

  • Generates a unique URL that you can share with players

  • Players simply click the link and follow the signup process

  • Ideal for campaigns, social media, or email invitations

    Option 2: Upload Player Data

  • Download our sample CSV template

  • Fill in player details (only email is mandatory)

  • Upload the completed CSV file to our platform

Note: We'll handle sending out automated invitations to players

Important Note: Players will only appear in your panel after they complete their registration. Please upload the players in an Excel sheet in the same format mentioned in the sample file.

Step 2: Ordering a Playtest with "Bring Your Own Players" When setting up a playtest, you'll need to complete the order form. One of the key steps is selecting the type of playtesters you want to participate.

    Selecting "Bring Your Own Players"

  1. In the order form, find the question: "Select Type of Playtesters"

  2. Choose the option "Bring Your Own Players"

  3. This ensures that only players from your own panel are invited to the playtest

  4. In the playtester requirements section, provide our team the details of the players you would like to be invited in the "Do you have any additional targeting requirements not listed above?" field

What You Are Responsible For When using your own players, you'll manage certain aspects of the playtest:

  • Providing incentives – You handle any rewards or payments for participating players

  • Player communication – While Lysto will send automated invite emails, any additional messaging (e.g., reminders or follow-ups) is up to you

  • Player management – You are responsible for ensuring players complete the playtest

Important Note: Videos will not be reviewed for quality. Make sure to communicate clear expectations to your players before they start.

By selecting this option, you have full control over your player panel while still benefiting from Lysto's playtesting platform
